PANDORA gets a bad rap. A goddess of plenty from like three thousand years ago with a buried jar. Yes, initially the story wouldn't have been PANDORA's BOX but PANDORA's JAR...that's just how they stored things back then. Her name means something like THE ALL-GIFTED because her jar was filled with good things... the fruits of the earth. Fast-forward a couple hundred years and her name and vessel have been co-opted into a completely different tale and she's the scape-goat for a storied thieving techno-feud between ZEUS and wonder twins PROMETHEUS and EPIMETHEUS. Typical patriarchal playbook... blame the woman. Like i don't know much about it really... but i doubt that YOKO ONO was really responsible for breaking up THE BEATLES.

Still the racy spooky version of the story is funner to depict. WHAT'S IN THE BOX PANDORA??? WHAT'S. IN. THE. BOX.

The piece is framed in a sleek high-modernist style and glazed with UV filtering plexiglass. The aluminum frame stock has a skinny 3/8 inch front face, seamless tig-welded corners, and a rich black powder-coat paint job. Discrete collaged spacers on the inner lip of the frame offer an extra something to the attentive viewer. The back of the frame sports a detailed, handwritten, and signed frame label to aid in future identification and authentication.
